Did you know reindeer and caribou are the same frickin' animal? It's true.
The animals are typically called reindeer when roaming wild in Scandinavia, Russia, Siberia and China. But when roaming wild in North America they are called caribou.
When I was first told this, I didn't believe it. I had to look it up myself, which hurt the feelings of my friend who told me this, as she thought I was questioning her credibility.
But, hey, I've worked in the journalism biz long enough to know you always get the information from more than one source, that way you know the info is probably true.

Ha, well I just recently found out that lambs and sheeps are the same animal.
Wow. I'm not going to comment on that one. Mind you, I've spent most of my life in a semi-rural setting.
i just found out a calf and a cow are the same thing. go figure...
anon,
You're just so funny.
Again. I'm not going to comment, as I know you've grown up in a semi-rural setting.
I just found out that a goat and another goat are the same animal. They're even the same goat.
I'm still pretending that all of you are serious and not being sarcastic.
It makes me feel better about myself.
Does anyone remember the cloned sheep? I think her name was Dolly (or Molly)?
Are they both the same thing, or is one the orginal, and the other a duplicate?
Ponder that one...

(not the same as anon above).
Well, I just found out what you get when you combine an elephant and a rhino.
Now that's serious thought.
nobody,
Now you're thinking way too much.
Dolly, by the way.
Other anon,
Re: rhino and elephant. What do you get when they're crossed?
'El if I know.
Ha. Ha.
i'm pretty sure i didnt actually grow up in a semi-rural setting... but i'm wondering how you define that.
semi-rural... you wouldn't have to drive more than half an hour to get out to any random farm.
When you leave your city for a scenic drive you would see cows, horses, as well as numerous wheat fields.
Opposed to if you lived in the Rockies where there would be trees and mountains.
I don't know about anyone else, but I've seen horses and cows (female elk and moose) in the mountains. Wheat fields - Not really, unless you count all of the pictures of the prairies in stoopid calendars and other printed crap.

that would make toronto a semi-rural setting and i'm not really sure thats an accurate description...
I think your city dwelling life has confused you about what a semi-rural setting is.
All I'm saying is that when I look out the 11th floor of my office I see fields. You can't say the same for Toronto.
yeah, but you can find a farm within a half hours drive of toronto , no problem
Yeah, well where I live you can see farms without leaving the city. Now that is semi-rural. Step off of some major city roads and you're in a field.
